Room to improve

After e-filing the federal and state business tax, I found that I made a mistake somewhere. After that, I filed an amendment, but it did not find out the status of that filing. Somewhere in that software, it was mentioned that e-filing for state amendment is not allowed, but the software did not mentioned anything about the mailing process (e.g., which forms and the mailing address)

Error 2: can't efile

Disabled windows defender firewall, set "internet options" to low for "internet", "local intranet, "trusted sites". Does not work. Used wireshark to do a packet trace. I can see a TLSv1.2 connection established with 52.33.213.147, which contains this text in the stream: aws-e.prd.it.efe.intuit.com, web-it-prod.efe-prod-us-east-1.a.intuit.com. It seems to show an encrypted connection from my windows 10 turbotax instance to your amazon data centers. I don't understand why you can't accept my return through that connection. The support site has one article that does not resolve it either. "Error Code 2 - Internet connection issue". Posted May 24 2019.

turbo tax experience

I have been a happy customer until recently where a bug (5806 form appear and flag an error eventhoughit is not required) in the software appear close to the due date which prevented e-filing. For the price paid for the software, they should do a better job in preventing these kind of bug which ruin my weekends and cause me a lot of stress.
The tax support is amazing though.

Importing Quickbooks was an issue

TurboTax makes everything easy

I've been using TurboTax for almost 10 years. I keep coming back because they make doing my business and personal taxes so easy. As a software developer, I appreciate good design and a thoughtful interface. I especially like how more information on a particular section is just a click away -- and that I don't lose my place in my return while I access that help. My only criticism would be that the part at the end where I print my state return is a little clunky. My state doesn't do e-filing for businesses, so I had to search a little bit to figure out what I needed to print and sign. Other than that, TurboTax is a huge help with a stressful chore.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
