Good Product

Overall this software is good. First time filing small business tax return. All of the software was pretty intuitive with the exception of the balance sheet section. Federal does not always require a balance sheet, but my state did. It took me 3+hrs to find the errors in the balance sheet. I realize if i used quickbooks, that may not have been an issue.
What's great about it: Helps fill out many areas; efiling easy; checked for errors
What's not so great: does nto explain or help balance sheet section well

When buying Personal Income Tax Turbo Tax, a state return is included. Not so with with this version. You have buy a state LLC copy and a state partnership copy.

Turbotax for Business Great As Always

This program saves me a lot of time not having to bring information to a CPA to do my business taxes. A bit expensive but worth it in the end.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Expensive
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

As a long time and very satisfied TT user for personal returns, I was hoping for a comparable experience with the Business version. As a non-CPA, I bought Biz to help with the 1041 for my late father's trust return. While generally helpful, I had to spend a fair amount of time out of TT learning about certain line items, especially when TT didn't have any relevant help screens. For example, the calculation of "trust accounting income" (schedule B, line 8) wasn't explained anywhere (or I couldn't find it). I was able to back into it only after reading several articles by tax/accounting professionals. Since TT Biz does the calculation, it seems simple to have a screen that would show the individual data items going into the calculation.
What's great about it: Walk-thru menus; easy to enter data
What's not so great: Some calculations are confusing
