Makes it possible for me to do taxes myself

Turbotax gets a bit better every year. With the step by step guidance, I can do our business taxes myself. Typically I'll still encounter at least one confusing item at the end during the error check where it asks me to fill in a box directly on the form. If I could fill in the forms directly, I wouldn't need Turbotax. Aside from this, it's a good product. Would give 4.5 stars

Have been using TurboTax after trying a few other early versions of other programs. Also tried a few others about 6-7 years ago and quickly returned to TurboTax. Still find it the easiest to use.

Nearly impossible to follow without a CPA backgrnd

Instructions need to be simplified for an average user. I needed to transfer earnings from a simple trust to a K-1 and had great difficulty in understanding cryptic instructions written for a CPA. I ended up hiring a CPA to complete my taxes.

The Schedule K-1 is slightly different depending on whether it comes from a trust, partnership or S corporation so this may have been where things felt "cryptic".
