Too Expensive and Hard for Non-CPAs

I have a super small S-corp so this should've been easy and fast (no income to report and it's dissolved). Couldn't access last year's info, so had to start from scratch. Also still hate not avail for Mac. If I didn't dissolve my company, I'd be using an alternative next year.

I hate turbo tax for Trusts & Estares

Awful program, It is calculating my state return incorrectly. It is telling me to fill out a state benefiary K-1 distribution form. I do not need one for the state. It is not asking for one on the Federal tax return. It is calculating the federal correctly, the state is incorrect. Much easier to do manually.

Turbo Tax did it again

I have used Turbo Tax for 15+ years for both my two businesses and my personal taxes. If your taxes are pretty straight forward, TT is the way to go. Mine are not, but I always get to where I need to be at the best cost. This year, I had more information than they had questions! If you keep good records throughout the year, Turbo Tax makes things very simple + they are audit-friendly if the IRS starts asking questions. The best thing is how easily they transfer information from year to year, which is invaluable for more complicated returns.

TurboTax is easy to use

Turbo tax is fine because it is very thorough. I would appreciate a touch screen version and not having to scroll after each section entry. No major errors this year and the program was available in complete form-unlike last year. Had to file an extension because state forms were late.
