Disappointed it didn't include State Tax program

It was more expensive than I expected because it didn't include State Tax information. The federal tax filing had an easy step by step option with additional details on each question if clarification was needed.
Need to include State Taxes with the Business Turbo Tax.

Updating and Updating and Updating

Trying to get my taxes done and downloaded the program. Have slow connection because I live in a rural area. After the hour long wait for the download, I got started and low and behold, it needs to update. So after another 30 minutes, It needs another update. 20 minutes later, I'm rocking on. Oh wait, you need a state return, another $60 please, oh, and another update. Seriously? If the program was updated 10 days ago, the downloaded program should be the updated one, not one that requires a tone of updates to get ready. And why wait until I get started to ask if I want a state file, it should be asked and downloaded at the initial purchase. Being asked for another $60 for something I thought would be included is a bit much.
What's great about it: Quick to go thru.
What's not so great: Way too many updates

fiduciary taxes are not adequate

federal fiduciary taxes are sdequate but it took a little work to gain figures. the questions were not entirely in laymen's terms for average people that can't afford a cpa or lawyer to finish their loved ones tax debt.
Wisconsin state fiduciary taxes are not set up to assist much at all. They took me 2 days to make sure all numbers available were included as turbotax warns that not all numbers could be generated.
Please fix this...plus, I had to buy the business version at $169 to do fiduciary...maybe put them in with the regular turbotax deluxe.

Could have been better

I completed my personal taxes using Turbotax and it was very useful. The business addition does not prompt enough and does not provide enough explanation.
What's great about it: Helped me complete.
What's not so great: Not as user friendly as the personal tax application.

ok, but not as good as prior years

This year we had to file for an extension. I've only done this 1x before, but was able to e-file it. TurboTax required to print & mail whereas when I went onto IRS.gov & NC dept of revenue website, I was able to e-file to extensions for both state & federal. These websites are a pain to navigate & it would have been easier to do through TurboTax. Also, when it came time to file my state return I had to print & send in (did let me e-file fed).
What's great about it: easy to use, auto ported prior years returns
What's not so great: required snail mail for many features that previously could do online

State Corporation Program

I have used the Business Turbo Tax Program for the last 6 years for a Corporation. This year I purchased the State Corporation program online. I was disappointed that all of the Federal information did not transfer to the appropriate State forms. This was very time consuming in order to insure that everything was correct. It wasn't worth the cost of the purchase. I could have done the forms online myself through the State website.
What's great about it: Necessary Forms Included
What's not so great: Not all Info Transferred from Federal

Form 1065 - Use Forms!

A simple 1065 (2 person partnership) is often easier to complete by moving to form view once most deductions are entered in Step-by-Step view. Often this is the only way to efficiently complete balancing Schedule L, M-1, and M-2. It is the only way to get to the new schedule B-2 for opting out of the Centralized Partnership Audit procedures. You cannot find B-2 in a search through the Step-by-Step view. There is one question (line 25) that activates this form but Step-by-Step doesn't readily get you back to the question because its not searchable. You'll need to rely on Google and IRS instructions to determine this as Intuit/TurboTax won't help you. Yes, this was an add on piece, but the legislation happened in 2015 so at least some treatment in TurboTax help should be included in TurboTax Business.
What's great about it: Can get to forms directly to complete
What's not so great: New form B-2 not found unless you look it up on Google and add the form in forms view

Excellent but needs to be made for Mac OS

My CPA quoted me upwards of $850 to do my taxes on a home-based LLC that had a very small amount of income, straightforward expenses, no employees, no major assets or complications - we aren't even using QB yet and everything was compiled into a one-page spreadsheet. This was a great solution and I was able to do my taxes in about two hours. But I did have to purchase a cheap PC laptop to run the software since it wasn't available for a Mac. Please make this for a Mac! There are a lot of small business owners who use Macs!
What's great about it: Easy to use, less expensive than CPA for a business in its infancy
What's not so great: I had to purchase a PC to use it
