Sold bad software. Had to amend return!!

It would be a good idea if you checked your software before you sold it and then made corrections BEFORE the DUE DATE of the tax returns! Now, we not only owe alot more money on our state tax return, we will probably get penalties and interest as well. Never mind all the extra time I had to spend redoing the tax return. Who is going to reimburse me for that?!
What's great about it: Fairly easy to use.
What's not so great: Owed more money because of your programming error.

Programs don't talk to each other

Had to use TT Business download because it is the only one that has K-1 schedule, and also had Quickbooks self employed. But those two programs don't talk to each other. Waste of time!

2 LLCs in 2days

I filed 2 x 1120S for 2 different LLCs. Started Friday after lunch and submitted filings Saturday before lunch. The LLC having products and services as well employees, contractors and inventory took significant longer than the LCC simply selling products.
I was disappointed that TurboTax could NOT be linked with my quickbooks (online version); I feel that this should be made possible.
What's great about it: being able to file myself
What's not so great: feeling insecure at times

Need version for Mac

Have to use Parallels on Mac to use this program. My Mac 10 keypad doesn't work with this program. Printing doesn't work well with it. Mac version for Home & Business works fine. Can't recommend this program - too hard to figure out how to use.
What's great about it: Nothing
What's not so great: No version for Mac

No Mac OS X Support for Business

Please add TurboTax Business support for Mac OS X users. There are 1,000s or 10,000s of us that would love it and use it. Next year I'm moving off of TurboTax to use an account just because setting up VMWare to run Window to run TTB is TOO PAINFUL.
What's great about it: It works on a Mac using VMWare, barely
What's not so great: No Business Mac OS X support!!!

Better than our tax preparer!

Using turbo tax business for the first year revealed that our paid tax preparer had made errors on prior returns. The software made it easy to prepare the returns, revealing which topics I needed to research further (not many) verses those that were just handled by the software.
What's great about it: Simple input to guide you through complex tax code
What's not so great: nothing

Every year, I claim I will not buy this again, and then I do because I do not do any research for other products. After suffering yet again this year, I now see that a competitor has Form 1041 software at a fraction of the price. How much worse could it be? It is clear that TurboTax spends ZERO time on this product. I have to manually enter the Income Distribution Deductions for MA state form because the software never asks those questions. Also, how difficult can it be to copy the import software from financial institutions, from the 1040 product to this product?? This is just not a good product, and I promise this time, I will not buy it again next year, and will try the competitor product.
What's great about it: Not a lot
What's not so great: No import of financial institution data; does not ask required questions on state forms

Back and Forth to the Forms

I bought turbotax so that I didn't have to fill out the forms by hand. I ended up having to chase errors in the forms anyway. Never again. I spent ~$210 on turbotax software to file both my personal and LP taxes. It's not worth it. I'll pay the man in the future. It's not worth the aggravation of figuring out how the software filled out the forms incorrectly.
What's great about it: Imported some info from previous year
What's not so great: Error check is seriously flawed
