Had issue but great support

I had a issue with the software and it took intuit a hour on the phone sharing my screen to fix the issue. However, the individual was extremely helpful and stayed with me until we could fix the error. I have used TurboTax for over 10 years on both personal and business and never had a issue. This is the first time and it appeared to be some software issue. Guess that is not bad over all these years but when it comes to taxes it must be right. The issue was with form 4562 section 179 line 10 and line 12. I had a carry over deduction that the software had issues with.

Obvious Contradiction Not Caught

During my 'Business Info' section it asked me at one point if my S corp and ever been a C corp. I answered 'no' knowing that was incorrect. Later on, TurboTax said that I was required to fill out a retained earnings reconciliation because I had once been a C corp. Just thought the developers should know that a user can click 'no' when the system already knows this answer. Perhaps a flag or something showing the user that something doesn't jive with past filed information.

Last year i did this partnership return by hand, using IRS provided forms. Using TurboTax was worth the money spent on the program.

easy to understand software

my first year in business and I saved myself hundreds of dollars in tax prep fees by using this software to file my s corp taxes by myself. it was easy, helpful, and guided me through the process. I learned a lot too.

Estate Tax Return

I used Turbo Tax Business to prepare and file a somewhat simple estate tax return. I had to input a fair amount of info from 1099-DIV and 1099-B forms. The software asked me all the relevant questions to assist with this process in a timely manner. The comments under "explain this" throughout the software were very helpful.

One Issue with PDF signature

Everything worked fine until I tried to E-file, keep saying my signature page PDF had type "Other". I Used the TTax procedure to make the signature page. Could not get TTax to solve issue. Final went to another process to create the signature page that worked
