This product is just ok. Even for a simple 'complex' trust, the questions and prompts that turbo tax gives you are not very helpful. Things to the effect of 'Justify Table 3b, column b'--with no explanation of what TT or the IRS is really after. Definitely no explanations like the ones you get using the regular old program for your personal income taxes. No detailed explanation of trust distributions either. Also, cost is a con if you're only buying this product because it supports development of K-1's--at the end of the day, it's about the same as hiring an accountant when you consider your time researching things online. I love TT for my personal taxes, but bottom line: this version is just ok.
What's great about it: Was able to file my return with K-1's
What's not so great: Had to research a lot questions on my own

User friendly for someone who is very new to business taxes.
Anytime I needed to search for more answers, it was inconsistent whether I would get to ask a professional, or could only search through previous customers questions, some in which didn't have answers to.
Signing into TurboTax for help was annoying shifting through all the sales pitches for something I already paid a lot for, searching to find help.
I purchased the Business CD and paid more than double what the Small Business and Home costs. Now I still have to Pay to download, two more times at $120 to finish filing our private taxes, plus state fees. I would have SAVED money and a lot of time hiring a local tax professional and had a lot more ease of mind.

Easy for first-timer

I've filed my own income taxes for years. Although I was hesitant to take on our business taxes for the first time, I was relieved to find that it was not as complicated as I feared. As usual, TurboTax made the process easy and even provided answers to any questions I had along the way.
What's great about it: Intuitive
What's not so great: N/A
Pros: I bought or sold investments, My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Does not work with QB online

Over all very easy. I gave a star rating 3 out of 5 and yet I would not hesitate to recommend this product. Not sure how come Intuit can not make all like minded programs work together to make uploading info faster! TaxAct can us any Quick Book info... But TurboTax can not. So other than that it is the best program out there and truly walks you through the process!! Good By accountant.. I think I get this now!!
What's great about it: very easy to use
What's not so great: if you use Quick Books Online the TurboTax desktop does not work with it.

Need more guidance and less forms

We don't expect to be presented with forms at any time - this why we pay for TurboTax.
It looks as if the developers just run out of energy when it comes to some forms, especially when it comes to state taxes.
We also don't appreciate marketing while we're doing our taxes.
