Trust aspect not as thorough or easy as 1040 was.

I don't understand why one can not download transactions from Brokerage accounts. I use Turbo Tax for my individual returns and I can download the 1099s from my brokerage account for those, but not for my Trusts. There is a lot less help in the "step by step" in the business version. I still run two or three scenarios/returns for each trust, changing allocation of gains and distributions to see which way is the most advantageous to my clients.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Very Easy Tax Prep Software

Estate Tax Return

I am the Executor of my deceased cousin's NY estate. I had to file her 2019 estate Federal and State taxes (first and final). It was made easy with Turbo Tax Business edition. I also purchased a fiduciary State Tax version on-line to do the State return. It worked great. All required Federal forms automatically went to the State tax, etc. Form K1 was generated too. A daunting task was made easy. Thankyou TurboTax.

Good Software for Trust Returns

Trustee prepared return is less expensive than CPA. Only one issue: had to override a beneficiary form cause the software made a mistake by lumping interest income with other income.

Turbo Tax is the way to Go

I started using Turbo Tax in 2016 to complete my own tax returns after discovering my accountant was using it for years to do them. Now I'm comfortable using Turbo Tax myself and it becomes easier and faster to do each year..

Complicated for QB with RightNetworks

I was unable to transfer my QB info directly from the site hosted by Right Networks, and had to load the software on to my desktop. Also,Turbotax for Business needs to be available for Mac.
