Disappointed again!

Again, I was unable to easily transfer info from Quickbooks to Turbo Tax. I was forced to manually enter all my numbers. This has happened before, but this year I suffered another setback. I filled out the info about my vehicles, and that info did not transfer from my worksheets to the actual form 4562 Frustrating!!! I think I'll just hire an accountant next year. Less expensive and way less frustrating!

TurboTax is easy to use and has help from other users when you have a question. It is easy to switch between the Step-by-Step and the forms to verify that you are entering what you think you are. You can also view forms that you are not using yet but may have to use in the future.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Shouldn't have to enter information on forms

It's generally a good product but when it requires you to enter information directly on the form it can leave you hanging. This is especially a problem with regard to investment transactions that should be downloaded.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

1041 for Trust

Although the product saves a bunch of time, it is nowhere near as user friendly as the products in the 1040 family. I could give many examples but I will give one example that should paint the big picture for those at TurboTax. The interview does not tell the end user where to put property tax for a home that the decedent left behind to the trust. Conversely, the 1040 family of products does do this. A little more attention to the user experience is greatly desired.

I have always used Turbo Tax! For my personal, my Sole Proprietorship, my LLC, and my Partnership. It walks you through step by step, and makes you feel confident you didn't forget anything.
