Been Using TurboTax for Years

Over the years I've had formal training in preparing taxes, but I still rely on TurboTax. Throughout the program you are asked the right questions at the right time. Help is available immediately for anything you don't understand and everything flows to the appropriate forms. A great product that just continues to impress.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Turbo tax was fast and easy - covering all questions. I really liked the "form view" presentations - it gave a nice overview of what was being covered.

As the tax law continues to become more and more complicated (full employment act for accountant and tax software companies) TT does a great job of putting it all together in an outstanding product. So I am not so much pointing out how TT keeps tax forms and documents organized, but the software has bugs. I could not efile a return because it said there was an entry that was estimated. It tool me to a form that had no entries, let alone estimated. I found the form it was referring to, and in fairness at one time early on i did put a placeholder estimate there. But once I verified the figure I removed estimate. This is the only thing on that form that i can imagine the review was flagging. But again, it had long been changed. Also, the program kept me from filing because of another "recommendation" pertaining to a first year partnership return. It asked me to consider a certain tax planning situation, which i did manually (as the program had no way to do it as part of the interview, which is fine), but then every time I tried to efile it kept bringing me back to that recommendation. This was not flagged in the review, so just not sure why it kept hanging the program up, in the sense that i could not efile.... i had to print and send.

Excellent Software, Earn that 5th Star, Add QBO Import! This process would be painless except for the lack of QBO import. SMH! Really? For excellent software -- this is a huge gap. FIX IT for the 5th Star.

I've been waiting years for Mac version

I like to use TurboTax business as I have prior years info Overall the software UX is good. However my company no longer uses PCs and getting a friends to do taxes is not worth the benefit. Next year if there is no Mac version I will switch and never come back.
Pros: I bought or sold investments
