Quick Books numbers don't translate well

I mostly love Turbotax, but I wish that QuickBooks used the same terms. It has taken me literally years to get the routine down pat and to translate my QB amounts into the TurboTax fields. Why is it so hard when they are made by the same company. The Wages (including the "officer wages") should populate correctly instead of requiring me to hand enter it and then hand enter the other things that go into making the QB "Payroll Expense" so that everything is entered and not double entered or missed.

I get a stupid message that the filing season is not open yet for filing season, but online it says that filing season is open.

Very Good Business Tax Program

Very easy and fast. However, there is one little issue with the California State Tax form regarding partnerships. It requires that the partnership number start with 19 or 20, however mine was issued with a 30 starting number. It won't let me override this and I can't e-file it because it won't accept the number.

Worked this year after accountant retired.

I used Turbo tax business to help me do my small business taxes, and prepare W2 and 1099 forms. It worked fine. was a little tedious, but all US forms are.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Love it, but...

Turbo Tax is really convenient but sometimes when I need help it's still not clear what I should enter but overall it does the job and can save money by helping you prep and file your own taxes because if you went to a tax service you still do all the legwork anyway!
