EzViz DB1 is a Class Leader!

I bought this because it is reasonably priced and didn’t require a monthly storage subscription (It offers SD card and DVR options) It is easy to install, has versatile software, and a responsive support team.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Bought the EZVIZ because it takes a micro SD card. No monthly fees. I can hard wire it to my existing ding dong doorbell, no battery to charge. App works on my android phone. Can be installed facing down, able to see packages on the ground. Comes complete with everything you need to install. It's in color. Priced at $139.99 is fair. My home is 30 years old, time for a new doorbell, and why not a video doorbell? If you just need a video doorbell without monthly fees. Buy at Best Buy Niagara Falls Ontario. I did ! Now you do have to buy a SD card why not a top of the line 128 GB. Records and play's back great.

Great Video Doorbell

I have had this EZVIZ Doorbell for over 30-days and I have been very happy with the product as well as the Technical Support Services. Out of the Box the product is well equipped with multiple colour face plates, mounting plates for angle or tilt installation and even the drill bit for the mounting screws used to affix the doorbell to the wall. The video quality is excellent and the mobile application is very functional.
The setup did not go as easily as it could of. Although the specifications indicate that a 8V AC doorbell power-supply is sufficient, this not the case. I needed to update my power supply to one that provides 24V AC. I was also not able to configure the WiFi on the DB1 using my iPhone 8 Plus but was able to configure it with my iPad. I believe the support for Android may be superior. Once configured the 3-hours of free cloud hosting was not available for Canadian Customers but this has now been addressed.
The EZVIZ Technical Support has always been very responsive and communication is also timely.

Wish it worked...

I currently have a ezviz mini indoor camera, I have had it for about 2 years and it works flawlessly. I so was excited when I moved in to 1st house and I bought this immediately. It worked great until the free subscription ended.. I had SD card issues not being initialized.. Eventually it wouldn't format, I tried 3 high end SD cards I had and the same issue.. Went back to BB and got it exchanged, this new unit worked great for a few days and did not have SD card issues, it freezes in the middle of the night with a red ring of death... This happened every night after that, tried a reset and reliable SD card from my car camera... No luck.. UGH! Back to BB, 3rd times a charm right? So I got another replacement on May 18 and the SD card issue is present on this unit, I set it up with no free subscription, so far so good but I got up on June 7 and the card said “exception” instead of “not initialized”, I have a stupid red flashing light again... Tried another SD card that is working and did a slow format, lets try it 1 more time... Well woke up this morning and “not initialized”, this is clearly junk, .. I really wanted to like this... I will be going back to BB to get Arlo or Nest doorbell
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Works Great.... So Far

Nice addition to our existing EZVIZ cameras.
Installation took a bit of time; however, the video instructions from EZVIZ were very clear and easy to follow. Added foam backing for our stucco surface ( better seal and fit). Also, put a a micro SD card in.
The real test will be for our Winter. We'll see.
