The gazebo finish design is nice. However some pieces are not squarely cut that put me off in a few connections. Overall, the manual instruction has a few very poor drawing that is wrong. I wish I could go back to the manual and tell you exactly which pages. You could message me if you are really interested to correct them. I wish your designers buy IKEA products and see how super easy to follow their manuals are. Plus their cuts are square.

incredibly hard incredibly bad instructions

The instructions for this kit are terrible. There should have been a complete video describing each step. The instructions were very confusing. The instructions were not helpful at all. I made several mistakes because I couldn't follow the instructions - not my fault - the problem was with the confusing instructions.
This thing is massive you will need 6 strong people to put the roof on --
Second time around I would do a lot of things differently and the outcome would be better -- but for my first kit this was a horrible experience. Mainly because the directions were terrible and there was not a how to video.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Break it into sections to make it easier. I assembled the columns, beams and roof panels separately prior to having assistance with the final assembly. Also I placed all the bolts and screws in separate plastic bags by assembly # in advance so I knew what screws & bolts went with the assembly I was working on.
