Very nice projector but

Purchased the HU85LA just under one year ago. I am using it on a high quality 120" light canceling screen made for laser projectors in my home theater. The projector is simple to set up and does not require distance more than 14" from the screen. No shadow puppets when people get up. Picture quality was very good comparable to a 4k LED but after 11-1/2 months it has developed a giant yellow patch of light in the center of the screen and blue tinting to the right of center. So here comes the test lets see how good LG does at resolving the issue on one of their most expensive projectors.

I have looked for months to get the right deal between quality and affordability.
Based on what I can see LG prices well it’s projector and it won’t break the bank.
Have you seen the specs? They looks amazing and I can’t wait for a release date. I was about to spend 5K on a Sony regular projector and it would have required some change to the room et . But with this LG Short throw my room is ready and I won’t need to remove the chandelier... please provide a release date ASAP!

Finally a good UST Laser projector

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had to import my current UST Laser projector from China because nobody had a good product at a reasonable price. Now I am looking forward to get the HU85LA because of the proper 4k and two distinct lasers used (if only it was three but I will take it).
Now if I find that this projector uses HDMI 2.1 like every single TV that was announced at CES then I will purchase it in a heartbeat.
Now you might wonder why I prioritize HDMI 2.1, well simple if you plan on playing games the HDMI 2.1 standard comes with Variable sync. Think of how Freesync or G-Sync works on computers but for your TV. What also makes this tech amazing is that when your connection recognizes you are playing a game it will automatically prioritize your connection to low latency mode making it more responsive than ever.
Now if I find that this projector uses HDMI 2.1 like every single TV that was announced at CES then I will purchase it in a heartbeat.

Future of TV

I hope LG offers a screen to go with it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am an existing user of the PF1000U Ultra Short Throw Projector and I love it. I think LG makes really sensible home entertainment projectors and their warranty service has always been good. I can't wait to try this 4K version out!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] LG please just make a projector, leave the bad OS off to save cost. We can buy an Nvidia shield TV(or lesser options) and have the best so nobody is using the internal software.
DON'T use small loud fans, use large ones to move air quietly!
Eagerly waiting to upgrade my older LG projector.
