Great Projector

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the projector 2 weeks ago. Setup was fairly straightforward and as easy as can be expected for a short throw projector. Picture quality and color accuracy are fantastic. It runs quietly and I can not hear any fan noise if I have the volume up at a reasonable level. So far I have not had any technical issues of any type.
I have 2 small complaints. First the hdmi ARC does not support eARC, which is silly because the hardware can do it and it is just LG needing to update firmware. Second, for whatever reason LG didnt use the same webOS as is on their better TVs and so disney plus is not supported or even listed in the LG marketplace. I feel like this is an issue that could be resolved and I find it an irritating oversight in a 6 thousand dollar item.
That being said, I am very happy with the projector so far. It truly looks amazing. The sound quality was fine, better than most/all TVs by a longshot. However the low end sound is a little lacking. I chose to disable the speaker and pair the projector with a 7.1.4 soundsystem and I imagine most people will want to do the same.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This an amazing product. A great TV replacement. Picture looks very good.
It's easy to setup, except it can be a little tricky to get perfectly symmetrical sides.
It could use another HDMI port or two, as it only has two. But that isn't a huge issue.
Everything else works well. Except I haven't been able to setup the projector with Google Assistant. LG Customer Service representative that I talked to told me that even though Google Assistant works on an iPhone, it won't be compatible with the projector and that only Android devices will work with the projector. So, apparently all of the "smart" functions of the projector won't work for us unless we have android phones. At least according to the representative I spoke with, but she also was fairly rude and disconnected the call when she could no longer answer my questions.

Great Picture and Sizing IF

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The projector shoots a line from light beam down middle of screen that is distracting. I bought a AEON elite screen in hopes of having best projector quality. I cannot figure out how to get the center line beam from being so noticeable/glaring. Hopefully LG can tell me how to fix so I can make this a 5 star review.

Great if it works

Besutiful image snd really happy with the sgirt theow factor. Works great on my flush white wall. Thought about getting a screen but am happy with image as is.
Here is the big but. I am already on my second projector in almost a year and this one again has problems. There is a persistent vertical line in the image. First, I thought it was maybe due to faulty HDMI connections, replaced all HDMI cables to my 4k appletv, but it still happened on all kind of apps. On my replacement I started to consistently watch through apps on the projector ONLY to rule out external sources messing up the image. But around 30% of the time I still get the vertical line in streaming content as well as within app menus. The photo attached shows the vertical line in the on-projector amazon app. My reseller is fortunately a dedicated HC shop and now again in touch with LG Switzerland. My satisfaction will completely depend on how they handle this issue.
The smaller but: webos used on this projector is not the latest version. Using internet is a pain with the cursor not being able to move as on my 2020 oled and there is no appletv app. I know this is a projector first, and I didn’t care to much about it anyway because it only has ARC and no e-ARC so if you want Dolby Atmos you need to use an external media player anyway, but it IS marketed as a projector with smart tv. That raises expectations and the smarts on this projector are very limited compared to a regular 2019/2020 oled.
So in short: if the hardware troubles are resolved indefinitely I would give this projector 4 out of 5 stars because of its convebience, versatility and great picture at this price range with deduction of of 1 star for the lack of smarts.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I did a ton of research before purchasing this UST projector and it has been well worth the money. Paired with an ALR UST projector screen and you have nothing short of a full cinematic experience in your home. It can't be beat
It is a great 4K laser project on it's face value. It was not the cheapest option when I bought it but it has some really nice options.
Unfortunately, just barely after the warrantee expired, pixels started dying off. First one, a month later another, another month another dead pixel. These are very bright-white spots that glow like bright stars on any darker screen images. Impossible to mentally tune out especially considering the price tag on this thing.
I've looked at the repair cost, and I can buy another laser projector brand new at the cost of these repairs. I'm really disappointed in LG quality. This isn't the first LG problem I've been through. I'd thought I'd have learned my lesson by now

Great projector needs a few small improvements

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had the projector for about a month now and it has been pretty awesome. The picture quality is great, even just being projected on the wall for now looks good. I am glad that they added Disney+ but I would like to see YouTube TV added so I don’t have to try to stream from another device to the projector. The built-in speaker is OK but I do plan on hooking up my surroundsound to this so that’s just something to think about when purchasing. The remote comes with the projector is nice and I love that it has the back lights for all of the buttons.

Gave us the ability to have a theater again

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We used to have a larger house and a traditional rear throw projector. However, due to circumstances we were forced to move into a much smaller, older house that didn’t make a theater room feasible. During quarantine, we decided to look into building one because of the release of this projector. The ultra short throw allows someone to stand up without blocking the picture in our small room and the 4K picture allows us to have a great picture even though we have to sit closer to the screen than we would like. The installation is a bit tricky when ceiling mounting as even a fraction of an inch drastically changes the throw size. I would have also like to have seen the feet be capable of being removed as they block some of tilt on a low profile mount.
