Door latch 🙁

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The washer works very well. However, we were very disappointed and surprised that the door latch is so cheesy—-plastic, not metal. How long will that last? Considering the price of this machine you’d think that Amana would install a decent latch. Built in obsolescence, perhaps?

Spin Issues

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this washer a month and the washing is great! The spin/rinse not so much. The washer has been leveled several times but jumps around like a maniac during the spin cycle and when it finally does spin with out jumping, it leaves the clothes very wet and heavy. The spin cycle on my old machine was better than this. I am really disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Features that other washers don't have.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We moved and I got new appliances. My old washer was a LG that was 16 years old, and still running like new!! I hated to leave it, but who doesn't like new things! This Amana washer sure seems a lot more modern! It runs very quiet, which is nice. I'm still trying to learn the different wash cycles available. What I don't understand is what is the difference between Regular and Normal??!! I really like the feature that tells you when you have washed 30 loads and that it is time to clean the washer - which is very simple to do.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I expected better...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm not happy with it. It doesn't rinse well. And the spin cycle leaves the clothes dripping wet regardless of the load composition or size. Even using less than the recommended HE detergent it leaves a lot of residue, to the extent that I have had to run clean cycles much more often than recommended and it takes 2 complete cycles to remove the soap. Thinking on it 3 stars is probably generous.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
