To simply clean the drain door, simple maintenance which is makes you perform when it clogges up, you don't have any access unless you CUT THE FRONT OF YOUR MACHINE. I mean why! Nothing is made with common sense anymore or the care of the customer! Junk. Don't buy these.

Never again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This washer lasted me about 4.5 years. It's moldy (and after lots of research, I'm learning that's largely my fault). But, it also has spewed water randomly on and off for the last year and I'm just over it. So, 3 stars for it being decent prior to random water spews. Would I buy again? Definitely not.

Terrible design

There is no easy access to clean out the filter. Why isnt there a small door in the front of the panel? You have to pull the top off then remove the entire front panel. VERY LAZY

No readily access to filter.

Doesn't have a access panel to clean out the filter. You have to take the top off, the door, then the front panel to access it. Not good if you have to do this every month. What a major design flaw.

Moldy rubber

The rubber piece thats between the door and the washer tub has molded and there’s no feature on the washer to clean it. It also traps hair and dirt that get back in your clothes when you run a load. Scrubbing the rubber with a variety of cleaning products and nothing has worked.

Easy to use and works great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have owned the Amana front load washer for four months now and it's worked great. I like it because it is simple to operate and it has the right amount of settings: not too many and not too few. It's a straight forward machine that is hard to find nowadays. So many come with steam, circulation fans, etc. which is just more to go wrong. It's also made in USA which is good.
The only reason I gave it four stars is because I wish the door was smaller in diameter. It's pretty massive and bigger than the drum opening, but a minor complaint.
