Great Washer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this to replace another (different brand) washer that needed a main board. This washer is quieter and has better features. The documentation allows me to better select different cycles (good explanation of the cycles/functions)

Really bad chemical smell. Can't use bleach onachi

This machine has a chemical smell that won't go away. We cannott use bleach in this machine as the chemical smell gets so intense it burns you lungs breathing in the house. And they will not even try to find out why this is happening
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My wife made me buy Amana

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My wife is an HVAC technician, she’s worked on many brands of equipment. Her absolute favorite are Goodman and AMANA! We cannot buy an appliance unless it is one of them. She wasn’t happy we couldn’t find a stove top made by Amana. Had to buy another brand. But overall, very satisfied with the brand and product.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Door latch 🙁

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The washer works very well. However, we were very disappointed and surprised that the door latch is so cheesy—-plastic, not metal. How long will that last? Considering the price of this machine you’d think that Amana would install a decent latch. Built in obsolescence, perhaps?

Spin Issues

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this washer a month and the washing is great! The spin/rinse not so much. The washer has been leveled several times but jumps around like a maniac during the spin cycle and when it finally does spin with out jumping, it leaves the clothes very wet and heavy. The spin cycle on my old machine was better than this. I am really disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
