Moldy rubber

The rubber piece thats between the door and the washer tub has molded and there’s no feature on the washer to clean it. It also traps hair and dirt that get back in your clothes when you run a load. Scrubbing the rubber with a variety of cleaning products and nothing has worked.

Terrible design

There is no easy access to clean out the filter. Why isnt there a small door in the front of the panel? You have to pull the top off then remove the entire front panel. VERY LAZY
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Would not buy again

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We brought this about a month ago thinking that since it's made by Whirlpool that it would be great. Well we were totally wrong, at best it's a mediocre! The door never feels like it's closed in fact during one wash cycle it leaked. It doesn't spin out the clothes very well and my wife complains about it constantly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Drain Hose

If your house drain is on the left side if the washer looking from the front then the Amana hose it too short to go from the right side to the left and into the house drain. Yes its on a platform. By the way I have never seen such a cheap plastic hose, the hose should be rubber. I doubt this hard plastic hose has a reliable life span.

Fantastic purchase

Great features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a couple of months ago and I'm not very pleased with it. I've had several issues with low flow error codes. It sets the code when there is 23 minutes left in the wash cycle and I have to turn the machine off and restart it. I've also had to turn several loads back on to the drain and spin to get all the water out of the clothes. A couple of times, the machine has shut off on me before it ever started washing, but the soap dispenser had emptied.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
