This is a perfect addition, to our earthquake kit. Multi functionality suits to a tee. The light produced in both modes, is better than expected. Paired with a Nomad, you will always have light as needed. Plus being able to power up a phone, is a bonus

I love this for camping. I leave it set in the sun during the day and have a great flashlight for use at night. I put it in the cieling of my “Go” tent at night to get ready for bed. I love that I don’t have to worry about having extra batteries. I’ve probably had this for about 3 years now and it still works great. (I’ve never tried to use it to charge other devices.)

This is the best flashlight I have ever had. The solar panels did not work long, but plug this thing in and charge it, it last forever. Honestly, I can't remember the last time I had to charge it. Very strong light beam, shines about 200-300 ft at night.

Great Backpacking Asset!

I purchased my Torch 250 before my 2 weeks camping/backpacking vacation. It worked great to keep my cell charged and as an all around light. When we had heavy rain I could stay in the dry tent with no hassle of recharging my phone at a campsite receptacle. While on Isle Royale for 5 days it served as my main flashlight and kept my iphone camera charged for plenty of pictures. I usually use a headlamp while backpacking but found on this trip the Torch 250 lighting versatility to be a plus. While it is a bit hefty in weight compared to a headlamp, I certainly did not mind the bit of extra weight. We had substantial rain while on the trip and the moisture did not cause any problems with the performance of the Torch 250. This is a great product!

My only complaint is the time it takes to charge using solar alone. Using the USB charger, it was fully charged overnight and easily charged my goal zero lantern. However, I have been attempting to charge the unit via solar only and I can never get it above one blue light (after about 20 hours of sunlight exposure and no use). I will continue to leave it in the sun for several days, but if it does not improve, I will contact the company.
I will probably leave it at my cabin, in a window to maintain charge while I am not there, so it is ready if/when the power is out, and take it camping during the summer for extra light in my camper.

I have been using this product almost daily for the last month. I love the lantern .. Having the crank generator and solar back up along with the ability to keep my phone charge is amazing. this company just keeps surprising and out doing itself.

Desperately needs a cap/cover/shield for the switch panel. Accidentally bumps the light switches on WAY too easy and drains the power, and in the daytime/bright sun it is easy to not see it on, so your running it down when your trying to charge it. I have accidentally bumped it on several times. It shouldn't need to be babied. Also takes a long time to recharge fully by sunlight when completely dead (AGAIN!)
I bought this three weeks ago with the intention of using it just for emergency situations. Now that I have it, I can't put it away. It has three different lights and each one has two features. There is a flashlight with high and low settings. Both throw a ton of light. The second is more of a flood light that also has a high and low setting. Like the flashlight, the flood light is very bright and easily lights a whole room. This would be perfect for changing a tire at night because, it will stand on end, and throw lite where you want it. The third light is a red light. This light would be perfect for pilots who cannot use white lights at night and need a red light that will not blind them. The second feature of this lite is it will blink in a circle pattern to get someone's attention. The best part of this light is the three ways to charge the massive 4400ahr battery.it. It has a fold away crank handle that when turned, will charge the battery. A built in USB cable you can plug in and chage it, and my favorite, the built in solar panel. There is a female USB port that you can use to charge your cell phone, tablet or any thing else that charges on USB.The whole lite is coated with rubber that makes it easy to hold and not drop. Overall, I love this light and have shown it around my office where a colleague has already ordered one. One last thing, there are two fold away metal hooks that allow you to hand this and light your tent or camper.
