Garage Freezer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We live in an area where the temperature frequently rises above 100 degrees. The temperature in the garage is often above 95 degrees. Our freezer works effortlessly and keeps the freezer at 0 degrees. Our only complaint is that the door seals so tightly that while pulling to open the door, the freezer rolls away from the wall. The rollers need a lock on them to prevent rolling.

Serious factory problems lead to disappointed customers

It arrived damaged, obviously happened in the factory because the packaging over the big dent in the corner wasn’t damaged. Electrolux sent out a replacement. The delivery company wouldn’t even bring it to my house because it was damaged worse than the first one and wouldn’t even work. I don’t understand how Electrolux can make any money if they have to make 3 freezers to get one that’s not damaged. And, I still don’t have an undamaged freezer, so who knows how many more times this will happen?

Defective model

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this Freezer about 3 months ago. I was asked to make a review so I could be entered into a contest but hey, I'm not going to lie just to win money. The freezer on it's own is really great! It's a nice size and the way it cools is evenly distributed. Unfortunately, the condenser fan freezes with large pieces of ice preventing it from cooling. I lost hundreds of dollars in food waiting 2 weeks for a warranty repair. They were good about sending someone out and that process was decent except the website tells you the wrong number to call for under warranty claims. I'd highly recommend not buying this thing. It's not something you can just return to the store either. I'm stuck with it for now and it is working. I'm afraid to lose all my food again so now I just put cheap ice pops in it and a few cheap things of food till I know this thing can last another month without breaking down. This is a common issue from my research and it's just bad design. I don't expect to "win" the prize for this review, nor do I expect this review to stay up for long but hopefully a few people will read this and avoid this particular freezer model. I lost soo much good food :-(

Disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very disappointing. The unit currently in my garage is the second unit. The first one stopped working completely after about two weeks. Got another one. Three weeks into it, it started making a loud clicking noise and defrosted. ( It had a good bit of food in it, but it wasn't completely full.) Ten days later serviceman arrived to say, the "new technology" fan, doesn't like humidity. It started to defrost and refroze and got all junked up. DO NOT FILL this freezer. ?????? He said you cannot fill it as it needs room for the fan to move the air around the items in it. It wasn't packed completely full to begin with. We had plenty of space in it. Right, isn't that why you buy an extra freezer. VERY DISAPPOINTED. I would not recommend. We had bought another smaller brand a month previous, we should have just bought two of those.

Great features

This freezer is so spacious and you can hardly hear it when it’s on.

Not happy

I bought this refrigerator in December and soon after, the fan stopped working. Turns out the door is set too high to properly seal and that causes the fan to freeze up. That was fixed but the repairman realized the bottom of the door is warped. We have been waiting since February/March for a new door as it’s the only way to fix. It is now July and I have to defrost it again. I have breast milk that must be stored in the freezer and it’s very upsetting that I could lose all the milk and it’s taking so long to get fixed. Poor workmanship and poor quality control!

Quit cooling
