Freezer compressor failed

Questionable date of model

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my freezer a few weeks ago and am having issues with the temperature. The bottom half of the freezer works great but the top half is not completely freezing the food.

I rate this below average mainly on the difficulty of opening the door. It's great to know that the unit is sealed very well but opening this unit is difficult at times. I read previous owner reviews on this problem but didn't think it was that much of a problem. I had to install 2 way commercial grade tape under the feet so it wouldn't move when opening the door. No one should have to do that. I am very happy with the rest of the freezer. If I really knew the opening of the door was going to be this hard, I would not even considered buying it. I have yet done a review online but I will do so to let future buyers to beware of this problem.

Great when it works

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this freezer out of desperation. Covid has made it very difficult to find my usual go to. The reviews were terrible. They all said the same thing. To summarize basically it was a lemon. Great for a while but due to a manufacturing fail it will eventually go out on you and you are basically left with a non functionally freezer. I rolled the dice. I own a fridgraide refrigerator with the same neagitive reviews and has had no problems. Well....it happened to me. Bought my freezer in January and worked great until about 3 weeks ago. Lost about $150 worth of food. Everything just went soft and there was no saving it. I called the company. Absolute horrid wait time but I was able to get through. I was met with the most amazing customer service representative I think I have ever had in all my years of having to call a company. Unfortunately I didn't register my freezer and we could find the the info needed for service so there wasn't much she could do but she was great regardless. Did find the information I need so I reached back out via chat and was met the equal amount of kindness and empathy I was needing to make this right. Got a refund on my spoiled food and service was scheduled promptly. Just what I needed considering the unfortunate circumstances. So far the freezer has worked great since then. Can't speak of the longevity but at least for now I am happy. I give it only 2 stars because based off of what I have read, I have no doubt that this company is fully aware that they are selling defaulty freezers at full price and dealing with the after math as they come. And for that I can no support or promote them in any good faith in anything other then 2 stars. You have some amazing customer service employees but shame on you for knowingly putting them in this position of dealing with the fall out of so many good hard working people that have put their trust in you to provide them with an applicance that they trusted would provide them with the piece of mind that they can trust their food would be kept at safe temperatures
