Poor design, fan breaks, does not defrost, and will stop freezing as a result

This freezer has multiple design flaws and is engineered poorly. So far I have had about 4 repairs in one year. Same issue each time the fan goes bad or the board goes bad. As a result the freezer does not defrost and eventually no longer freezes the food. Mechanically speaking the fan is not robust enough, made of plastic, and ice forms on the blades. This makes a loud sound and eventually the fan fails or does not spin high enough to do its job of circulating the air properly. This is an issue because the freezer won’t defrost and will stop freezing your food eventually. This got a poor rating because several times we almost lost the food in the freezer. Fortunately I moved the food to another freezer.
I do not recommend this model. I do recommend that Frigidaire redesigns the fan to a metal fan and look into the logic board. Also they may have to modify the housing the fan is in. You should hear what the fan sound like when it is failing, it’s so loud and annoying.

The Good, the Bad and The Ugly

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a couple months ago and has had issues every since. The good: the freezer is a great size, holds lots of food. The Bad: the faint “beeping “ (like you’ve left the door open too long) is intermittent.... with the door closed. When I open it, the inside light doesn’t come... then sometimes it does. Where’s quality control?? The Ugly: I’ve found no locks for the wheels, so when you try to open it (major vacuum) or close it, the unit moves. I had to put a 2X4s behind the unit as a stop so it wouldn’t keep hitting the wall. A better design on that would be nice on that issue.

With usage, the vacuum seal will decrease. Keep in mind, the smaller number of items inside your freezer will make the door harder to open due to more air inside your freezer. Freezer worked good for 2 months

Green light wont stop blinking and the machine is perfectly level. Not sure what to do but have lost my confidence in Frigidaire.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The freezer is a bad quality. The compressor makes really loud noise. We got another freezer as a replacement that also had issues with light not working and freezer making noise. I am not sure if its due to Covid the manufacturing quality is so poor.

Fan froze twice in 4 months

Less then a year old and already needed service

Problems with it in the garage

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is 3 months old and has gone into automatic defrost twice. We had to scramble to get our food in another freezer before it was all ruined. We were told by the repairman that it does not do well in an uncontrolled climate. Also the light inside has not worked from day 1 and the repairman said it was probably frozen. He said everything is electronic.
