Lots of space

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this freezer after our other freezer broke during the height of the pandemic. Large enough for my family of 6 and then some. Only problem that I have is the rubber seal on door keeps coming off.

Nice Freezer, Difficult to switch door swing

We got this yesterday. Based on where it was installed we needed to reverse the door swing which was one factor for purchasing this freezer. All I can say is good luck. It’s designed to be an easy process that should only take 10 min. Unfortunately the screws were all overly tight for what I would call a sheet metal joint. The top hinge came out ok but the flat head in the bottom stripped the Phillips head before coming loose. I had to drill it out and get a new one from the hardware store. After that I found the lower pivot pin was way too tight as well. It has wrench flats on it but the steel is soft and the wall thickness is too thin. The flats rounded quickly given how tight it was. I ended up using vice grips to get it off. Unfortunately to keep them from slipping I had to tighten them enough that the pin partially collapsed. Once removed I had to put it in a vice to get it roundish again and polish off the burrs from the vice grips. Finally the hinge assembly on the bottom of the door was warped. It worked fine in the factory position but needed to be bent about 3/8” to make it work in the other side. So after one trip to the store for a 10-24 flat head screw and about an hour the door is switched and everything is working fine.
Obviously this could have been avoided with some basic quality control for the warped part and some lighter torque settings or better quality hardware at the factory. It also appears that the hole for the flat head screw is not tapped ahead of installing the fastener which it why it probably didn’t want to come out easily.
