Unit started making noise first week then failed

We bought this a few months ago. First week it was making a loud noise. After 3 weeks it failed. Took two weeks to get them to come fix it under warrantee but now can't get the part. Been down for 3 weeks. I had to go boy another freezer for all our food.

Worst

I bought this three months ago. And it has quit, lost all my meat in freezer. Call Frigidaire on Sunday they tell me someone will be out here Tuesday June 30th. No one shows up , I call them they tell me no appointment till Thursday July 2nd. Mean while my dryer is sitting outside so man could fix freezer. So now have no freezer or dryer.

Nothing but trouble

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this freezer about a month ago. Last week we had a service man out because the fan quit working due to ice build up and it was no longer freezing. He fixed it. It ran for 5 days. Today the freezer has stopped freezing once again. I can’t trust this unit enough to fill it up like I planned to. If I could give zero stars I would.

The product stops working less than a week after plugged in. Frigidaire makes you jump though hoop, does not compensate you for the food lossage, and schedules a repair for a week later. Buyer beware!!!!! Horrible service and product.

Questionable operation

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We ordered our freezer and had it delivered on 4/8/20 then by 6/11/20 the freezer lost the ability to cool. Before it stopped cooling properly we noticed a scrubbing noise from the internal fan and slow increase in temperature, which we thought might just be some ice or something that was on a fan blade, however, we found this to be absolutely wrong. The issue turned out to be that the fan was in a frozen pool of defrost water. The tech called Frigidaire to get direction and was told there was a retrofit kit for the issue and that part was backordered. It only meant that our new freezer would sit unplugged for 2 weeks. The kit finally arrived and was an extra piece of insulation tape and part without a hole as it was supposedly venting warm air into the fan that would freeze and not melt out in the defrost. If this is a big enough problem to have a retrofit kit then it would have made sense for Frigidaire to have proactively arranged the repair instead of having a full freezer of food that failed. I can truly say that at this point I don't know if that fixed the issue or if we will again have a full freezer in a couple of months to have the same issue. I do not trust this freezer and would recommend anyone purchasing one verify theirs has the retrofit kit or is built after they fix the original issue. The customer service folks in chat and on the phone could not even tell us when to expect the backordered kit for our 2 month old freezer.

Broke after just over 1 month ...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was perfect and worked great for the first 30 days or so but then just completely stopped cooling. We were told to make sure the gasket was sealed correctly at first and we did and that was fine but it kept getting worse. We have a repair person coming today (after waiting 2.5 weeks and losing quite a bit of food that went bad). Crossing our fingers they can fix it and it won’t be an issue again. Just a little FYI also, our unit has been perfectly level the entire time we have a level sitting on top of it to make sure so that was never what caused the issue.

Not a Fan

Techs showed up promptly, and it was a problem they said the company knew of because they actually put out a kit to fix it. A seal was bad, allowing moisture into the motor, freezing up the fan and not letting air circulate. Why would a company sell a product that could cost their customers hundreds of dollars?

Not even a month old

Got this freezer to stock up on freezer things. Since going to the store was harder to get to. Wanted to be able to store more freezer things. Well the top shelf stop working my food thawed out. Then the door food completely unthawed. Then the 2nd drawer now the 3rd row. Not even a month into my freezer. Waiting on a repair person to come fix my problem. Hopefully i dont loose all my food it worth more then the 300 allowance. So frustrating!!!!! Not cool frigidaire... not cool...
