Great size, small footprint

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Freezer that requires little digging due to having shelves rather than being a "dump" it in box is great. The no slip pads in the front prevent moving while opening the door, the door is reversable, controls are simple and easily accessable.

Great size

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my upright in May 2020, today August 2020 waiting for service tech for the 2nd time to come out. It is huge and I love it, BUT this is to new to have any issues. For some reason the outer light on the bottom starts to flash and it starts beeping and now defrosting. I have too much food to lose. Unhappy about this.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The freezer works great, able room and available was very good. When we first received the fan was very noisey the delivery people said it was due to the floor being uneven they shimmed the freezer up it was quite than. I checked the freezer a hour later and unit wasn't cooling and smelled hot after opening the back panel found that the fan was not turning and it was jammed into shroud and the bottom clip was unhooked, after hooking the fan in its proper place unit runs great and freezes as it should. This unit has been great so far.

Updated review after warranty repair, previously 1 star

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Previously 1 star (mid July 2020). I finally got throught to Frigidaire and a week later a tech came out to fix the freezer. The old fan was replaced with a new (identical) fan. The real issue, as explained by the tech, is a lack of clearance around the fan blades. That allows ice to build up on the insulation surrounding the fan and gradually slows and stops it from spinning. The high tech fix - remove the foam insulation panel around the fan and hack out a larger opening to give the fan more clearance. He also took the time to test all the other components including the defrost system and found no other issues. So far, about three weeks later, no problems at all. The repair shop told me mine was the 16th Figidaire (the same model) they had repaired in the last couple of months. If you need to keep the freezer limping along until you arrange repair, try this: 1) keep everything you can near the bottom of the freezer, the top warms up faster when the fan stops. 2) When the alarm goes off, try blasting the area just above the temp control knob with a hair dryer - that's where the fan lives and if you melt the ice there (you won't see the ice but you might hear it melt and fall off inside) it will usually work for 2 - 3 days at a time.
