This model is Energy Star certified, meaning it does meet or exceed federal guidelines regarding energy efficiency. Notice of your concern over how it runs will be sent to our team for review.
We can advise modern refrigerators will often save energy by running longer but at a slower speed. Starting the compressor accounts for most of the energy used in a refrigerator. The refrigerator may run longer than usual when it’s first installed, after a power outage, or if the room has high temperature or humidity. If it seems like your refrigerator is running too often, you may want to make sure the doors aren’t opened too frequently or too long, and that the gasket isn’t torn or ripped so the door can seal properly.

Thank you for your response to my previous review. It's the fan motor that is making all the noise when on. Its not because it's new and empty. It's poorly made. All you have to do is plug it in to hear it. Am I stuck with it? Would you replace it?

Broken Down Four Times in the First Year

One year in, we’re on our fourth repair and have lost all of our food…again. This has been the worst experience I’ve ever had with a refrigerator. Everything that can break has broken on it. We’ve had to go without a working refrigerator for a few months in total. Customer service wait times and repairs take longer than a reasonable amount of time. You would do better buying a well built ice chest.

It's a good refrigerator and the price was good. I like that the door shelves are wide enough to put a gallon of milk there. But I do miss the drawer in the middle of the fridge to put the cold cuts in.
