Beautiful fridge but loud

The fridge has beautiful design features, nice LED lights on the inside, and overall good operation. The downside is the noise when running. Other reviews online show the same thing in that they took a good design and made it louder in the current version. My old fridge was 29 years old and was still quieter than this one despite running a lot harder. I would encourage GE to work on noise control or they will lose customers. Pros include nice clear shelf design and plenty of space with cons including noise and temp control is not split for fridge/freezer (one control).

Noisy like continuous knocking noise heard from when fridge was plugged in. Put in service request and technician said "fan was loose". When I got home and heard it turn on, the noise is still there. So much so the neighbor below can hear it loud and clear.

Appreciate GTE still sells the Bisque appliances.

As the modern age seems to favor stainless steel appliances, some of us are loving the option of white or the bisque colors. Thank you for continuing to accommodate those of us who still think these other colors are nice to have in our home.

The freeze door is ill fitting and allows air in the top of the freezer where the moisture from that air freezes. The ice forms just where the seal meets the inside top of the freezer. It seems that there is a dip in the door plastic that causes air to get inside the freezer. I would say that it is a defect in the production of this model.

Freezer temp got up to 64 degrees! Lost all my food again! This is my SIXTH GE refrigerator to break down in 16 months! Never buy a GE!
