Not what I expected.

The refrigerator could not keep a constant temperature between 30-40 degree even when at #4. The door has to be close all the time to maintain the between 30-40 degree temperature. Also, the refrigerator is loud.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Unfortunately this turned out to be a very noisy refrigerator for its small size. I needed to replace an older fridge (different brand) of same size that was not as noisy as this one. Another thing I learned after buying it is that since is Energy star the compressor has to be on more often. The room temperature here is not that high, I don’ open it very often to blame this on other factors, it’s just the design. I’m really bummed I had such high hopes for this General Electric, I have to wear noise cancelling headphones at night while trying to sleep as I live in a small apartment (hence the size of the refrigerator).
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi, Thanks for your purchase! We use foam insulation in our new refrigerators which has excellent insulating capabilities and is very energy efficient, however, it's not as sound absorbent as previously used fiberglass insulation. We're sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. Depending on the placement of the refrigerator in your kitchen, you may want to place a piece of rubber backed carpet beneath the refrigerator to help reduce the sounds.
