We use foam insulation in our new models which has excellent insulating capabilities and is very energy efficient, however, it's not as sound absorbent as previously used fiberglass insulation. Depending on the placement of the refrigerator in your kitchen, you may want to place a piece of rubber backed carpet beneath the refrigerator to help reduce the sounds.

The fridge was not available to see in the store which i wish it was because we would have gone a different route. A fridge that size should offer glass shelves only. Was not impressed to see it had wired shelves you would see in a smaller unit. Unable to return because we would have had to pay a restocking fee.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I am not sure if the furnace turns on or somebody turned on the outside water spigot fully open So you can hear the water flowing through the pipes loudly, or a snowmobile driving by outside.

The new high efficiency compressor on modern refrigerators may run faster and longer than your previous refrigerator and generate more sound. You may hear a high-pitched hum or pulsating sound while it is operating which is normal.
