Great dishwasher; just doesn't use rinse aid

I love this dishwasher; it cleans and works well. I just can't understand why it doesn't use the rinse aid that's been added. I've assumed that it's used it all up, but now I've added so much that it's full and apparently not being used. I can't find in the owners manual any causes for this. I'm wondering if the rinse aid isn't used when the sanitize option is selected...? Other than this, I'd be able to give it 5 stars.

24" Built-In Dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For the most part this dishwasher does a really good job at getting dishes washed and cycling correctly. I ran into an issue about a month into owning the dishwasher, it would make a humming noise like it was cycling through but never had water going into the dishwasher. I cleaned the bottom of the dishwasher and that did not help. I found a way to solve this issue after some googling and read that you fill the bottom of the dishwasher with boiling hot water and let it sit overnight. I still have no idea what this does but it fixed my issue, and it has worked well ever since.
