Some tips that can alleviate your concern with a lot of water being left over after a cycle, is to ensure the knockout plug in the disposal has been removed. You also want to ensure that there are not any kinks in the drain line. A kink in the drain line can cause drain issues or water to pool in the bottom of the dishwasher after a cycle is complete.
