easy to load and unload

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dishwasher is designed for easy loading and unloading--no deep bending or reaching, and the large open "bins" are great for any size spoons, forks, and knives. It does have the same drawback all dishwashers seem to have now: You must scrape and rinse the dishes thoroughly first, because the energy code apparently foes not allow the water to be hot enough to clean any stickiness!

Cleans well, but some design flaws I think

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The dishwasher gets the dishes clean, so there is that and why I gave it 4 stars. However 2 design items would make me not buy this model again, and will be pre-read any manual before ever buying another dishwasher. First is you can't keep it open a crack, like 1 or 2 inches, it will slam shut. This dishwasher retains water and, in general, I would like to keep my dishwasher open pretty much at all times just a little. Can't do that with this one. Secondly, the silverware holder is on the side towards the back, I REALLY WISH it would be right up front horizontal because that is what I put into my dishwasher most frequently.
My prior model could do both of these things and didn't think it was a big deal and didn't think about a newer model not having these traits which is on me, but I do miss these two "features" a lot. :-)
