Ripped on my first trip, the end that faces the ground when wheeling the bag around should have the same type of material as the bottom of the bag to make it more durable.

This is really easy to carry around, has plenty of space, and looks nice. However, it's already torn inside (between the main compartment and a side compartment). Also, I was carrying it (full) from the main handle at the top and the zipper just popped open. The zippers often don't zip properly, either, and I have to try it a couple times before they properly close.

Not as robust as my High Sierra model 138039

I just received this (haven't used yet) so the jury is still out on robustness and reliability. However I travel a lot and knowing how the airlines mishandle bags, I am skeptical whether this will hold up. I had a High Sierra model 138039-3958 (not made anymore). The High Sierra (company owned by Samsonite) model was much more robust in material and has extra zipper protective straps, while weighing the same as the Samsonite. (8-9 lbs). I'll update this review once used a few times. But agree with all the average-to-poor reviews that this could be a great bag but falls seriously short in robust material and airline damage-mitigation design.

Bought this for my son and he loves it. He works out of town and uses it for his bag when working and going on trips. It really holds quite a bit of stuff. #sweepstakes
