Powerful grinder

Like so many others said in their reviews, I bought this unit because it was the top rated continuous feed disposer on Consumer Reports. It’s bigger than my old unit so I had to make some adjustments to the piping under the sink, but installation wasn’t too difficult. The hardest part was removing the old sink flange, which was secured with putty. I hoped it would be quieter considering the price range, but it’s no louder than my old 1/2 hp disposer. It’s very powerful - we call it “The Beast”! I tried to reach inside to see if any of the thick lime peels were left behind, but it’s designed to be too small to fit your hand inside. Luckily it’s strong enough that it ground up everything I put in it.

Overall a good disposal

I purchased this to replace a 1/2 hp GE unit that had just failed. It's definitely more powerful and efficient, although I don't believe it to be any quieter which it is supposed to be. It certainly doesn't vibrate my counter like the other did. Would certainly recommend it over the smaller unit for those that are frequent users of a disposal.

Hands down, the most powerful garbage disposal we’ve owned. The installation was simple but the piping needed adjustment since our prior disposal was a different brand.
