Quiet and did a good job until the bearing failed.

I purchased one of these two years ago and it failed; a ball bearing popped out of the shredder plate drive. This one replaced the failed unit under warranty; it took over a month to receive the replacement. Easy enough to replace.

Best 1HP Disposal Ever

Replaced a GFC1020N with a new GFC1020N. Have used this model for over 25 years and it’s the best there is.
I would recommend this to a friend!

GFC1020N

I cannot get the disposal to attach to the drain. The aluminum mount ring will not slip over the cushion mount once installed on the sink flange no matter what I do I can get the disposer to connect to the mounting ring. I cannot get the mounting ring to turn. I have tried about 10 times and and I may possibly have the wrong flange for the GFC1020N.
Anyone else have this problem? Or can I get the correct sink flange?
