I've had this for 2 weeks, so take it for what it's worth. It works good. It disposes of food scraps. Flip the switch - food is gone.

Generally works very well. My ONLY concern is the water flow into the unit, which is sluggish (water pools in the rubber catch basin). Even manual separation of leaves doesn't persist in solving the problem.

GE DISPOSAL

After selecting, purchasing and installing several replacement disposals in the past, we no longer wanted to do the installation ourselves and asked our local handyman to due the entire process. His choice was the GE. It has worked well. We do find that the rubber "sleeves" are so tight we have to repeatedly push the objects in.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Bought this as a direct replacement for the 10 yr old one in my kitchen. It was straight forward to install and is much quieter than the old one. After about 2 months it is working perfectly.
