The price was very competitive but the installation process was more difficult than necessary and required pleny of patience.

I installed the disposer myself. When I installed the rubber mount onto the sink flange, I had to use enough pressure to allow the mount ring to move easily up and down a short distance. I was then able to install the disposer while pushing it upward and turning the mount ring to the right. I used a screw driver as a lever to turn the mount ring further to the right to seat the disposer tightly in place. It took a little practice and strength, but it is very sturdy and works very quietly.

I purchased this disposal about 2 months ago. So far very happy with it. The instalation was fairly easy. Had to modify a litle the plumbing to align it well with no tension, but really not a big deal. The purformance impressed me - very powerful and yet very quiet. Very well balanced motor -runs vibration free. Uncommon for motors in such applications. Would recommend it to anyone. Keep up the good job GE!
