I replaced an old leaky disposal of a different brand. I like how the GE is smaller and takes up less space under the sink. It seems to work very well and is quite enough for not being an insulated model.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is wonderful! It does an excellent job quietly, neatly and quickly, which not only saves on electricity, but also on water. I t is certainly self cleaning because I never smell any odor of left over food emanating from the disposal.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Looks nice, but very wimpy

Replaced an insinkerator with this GE disposal. They were alike in power. Didn't know it would be such a huge difference! The insinkerator was way more powerful. This disposal both sounds wimpy and really can't handle much. It doesn't suck the items down the sink to the disposal area at all. I have to use a spoon or knife to get it down there. Also the opening is much more narrow. I would not install this brand again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Works well. No major problems. Clogged up once with potato peals. Power cord had to be purchased seperate, didn't come with it.

Purchased new home. Disposal is very loud compared to previous home disposal units.
