Does the job and is reasonably priced. Lets face it, its a garbage disposal ! not a piece of artwork you hang on the wall. Function and efficiency are the key elements.

Very quite Disposal

Garbage disposals are usually very noisy; however, my wife has commented several times how pleased she is that this unit runs rather quitely compared to previous unit(s). Does the job, so she is real pleased.

Nice with a caveat

Good news and bad. The good: It is quiet, powerful, and looks good. The bad: It is a disposer only, no cord, no cord hold down, no dishwasher connector. The worst bad is that the sink flange would not unscrew from the support ring. This should be a five second deal. It took over an hour. I used hot water to expand, ice to contract the other side, lubericant to facilitate the unscrewing. Finally, I gave up and put it in my vise and forced it. Of course it broke. I repurposed the broken part with the part from the old disposer. The sink flange was a bit buggered up but it is functional. Did I mention water leaks? If manufacturing would solve these problems it would be a much better disposer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We just installed our disposal today and it works great, but sounds like it's going to take off right out of our sink because it's so loud. Will need to remember not to use while the baby is sleeping.
