the first unit lasted less than 3 years in a normal residential environment...the replacement unit lasted less than 30 days...
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Came with new built house. This does work. However, it is the loudest disposal I have heard in 50 years. No excuse for it. I just left one in another house which worked better but was so quiet you could barely tell it was on.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This disposal works like a charm. Easy to install even when replacing another brand such as I. Good work GE! As always GE makes excellent appliances.

The unit works well, but the interior is rusted after 45 days of use. It look like it is 3 years old.

Great disposal

Just purchased this disposal and got it installed. Approx 25 min to install and was very easy. 1-10 on being easy 1 being the easiest I would give it a 4. This disposal is very quiet, may be the quietest that I've ever owned.
