Just installed it, sounds good, like the features, but it's way too early to judge this appliance. The old one lasted more than five years, it wasn't a GE, but it gave good service.

It was easy for me to install...

...but I am comfortable working with electrical wiring. Our new disposal is fairly quiet and efficient. It grinds everything we have put in it. Can't say how well it will work a few years down the road, with its power, it should be fine.

Difficult to Install

Instructions were not very good as to installation. Better detailed information should have been given for the mount ring and the cushion mount. The removable splash guard (although a good idea) restricts drainage of sink. An extra splash guard in the disposal package would also have been very nice.

good size, but not as quiet as hoped

we purchased this to replace a broken 1/2 hp disposer because it was a stronger motor, but it is much louder than the previous disposer which is why I only gave it 4 stars. Otherwise it works good so far.

This model has been installed for about a year and there have been no problems. It functions well and is relatively quiet. It has shown to be a quality disposer.
