I bought this 6 months ago and it has plenty of power, it is quiet. It is also pretty simple to install.

Good for the Money, Second one

This is my second garbage disposal of this model. I replaced the first with the same because no plumbing adjustments were necessary. However, the new one had a stripped ground screw and when knocking out the dishwasher plug, the top of the disposal came out of adjustment and could not mount. I finally figured out what happened and forced it back in place. The turntable spinner broke on the first one, but the 4 year extended warranty was no good, because you would have to pay for a technician to replace part that they will not deliver. The part must have been cracked for a long time because one side where it broke is dark gray and the other side a bright steel color. First one lasted 4 years. However, it works good. No reset button or hex screw underneath to unlock.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

GE no longer makes the model I had since I bought the house 14 years ago. However, this model fits like a glove and works great.

So Quiet!

It is amazing how quiet this disposal is. You can barely hear that's its running. Just a slight hum sound. Installation was fairly easy. The instructions were very well written and displayed with pictures how to assemble and mount the disposal
