Strong bluetooth

It works great with my Peloton - the hr monitor they sell with the bike is faulty and failed - I stupidly bought two! Polar's Bluetooth doesn't work with Peloton but it was terrible anyway, tiny battery life and poor connectivity. Best feature is the way it doesn't turn on until you snap it together- hope that means long battery life! Seems to have a very strong signal. Thanks for a great reliable product.

Got this to replace yet another Garmin heart rate monitor and I've had it for over a year and it's perfect.

Very pleased so far with the device after a month and about 100m of runs. App is quite helpful and easy to sync to Strava. Medium chest strap is a bit tight on 40in chest. Good analysis and data.

Fantastic heart rate monitor

I have used the TICKR for more than 18 months now. It works as advertised, maybe even better. It has been a great improvement from my previous HRM (heart rate monitor).
Although the TICKR is Wahoo's entry-level HRM it has all the features I need for my training.
The two LEDs let you know straight away that it's working when you put it on. The red LED blinks as it picks up your heartbeat. The blue LED blinks to indicate that TICKR can connect to a device via Bluetooth. I really like the visual feedback.
TICKR connectivity is great. It easily connects to my Android phone and most of the equipment in our local gym (via ANT+). It can even connect to some medical equipment. I only need this one HRM for everything.
The device is well constructed from quality materials. It has been subjected to extreme body heat and moisture and just keeps on working. I am happy with its durability so far.
The free Wahoo Fitness app adds even more value to the TICKR. I am using the app on two Android phones. At first I thought the software was quite basic, but now that I have gotten used to it, I find it indispensable! I like the fact that I can set up different profiles for indoor and outdoor training, cycling and running. Exporting a workout to my other apps is a breeze (and quite fast). The Wahoo Fitness app's interface is quite intuitive and well thought out.
Most people don't realise how valuable exercise equipment like TICKR can be when used for medical rehabilitation. I have a very specific need for a reliable HRM, as I have been fighting stage four cancer for more than two years now. My oncologist recommended that I carefully monitor my heart rate during training, recovery and rehabilitation. This is due to the fact that some chemotherapies and medication can have a detrimental effect on the heart. My old HRM just did not cut it any more - it was not very reliable with its ANT-only interface. Its elastic bands were not nearly as comfortable as the TICKR's. Since I got the TICKR it has not let me down once. The only time it dropped a beat was when I needed to replace the battery (after about a year).
Overall, I'm really happy with the product, hence the time taken to write a review about it!
PS: Wahoo's list of compatible Android devices is a bit outdated. I'm sure TICKR works with most modern Android phones, even the newer ones that are not being listed.
