Chest strap feels insecure
on March 12, 2017
Posted by: Elitetrainers
The front snap buttons on the chest strap feel insecure and I have a this strap put off many times while I was lifting weights. I would prefer a chest strap the feels more secure while working out. There are some connectivity issues with my Apple Watch as well.

Bluetooth and ANT+ in one package
on March 10, 2018

I needed something that could communicate with my iPhone and an ANT+ head unit indoors. So far this product has fit the bill perfectly. Pairs well with Zwift. Using it indoors, I really test the waterproofing and there have been no issues. Fit is comfortable.

TICKR Heart Rate Monitor
on March 16, 2020
Posted by: Scott P.
i like it, it works. however, really don't like it being on my chest. sometimes it feels like it is falling off but when i check it is not. if the band is tight enough it stays put which is good.
also annoying to lift up my shirt to put it on but that is the way it is and that can't be changed.
i was going to get the arm band version instead but the price for this was too good to pass up.

Terrible

Used to be great before they updated the app a few months ago. Now all of the calorie counts are way off and it's completely useless now. Just check the reviews on the app. Don't waste your money.

Disappointed So Far
on February 10, 2017

Wahoo's own website advertises under DUAL BAND TECHNOLOGY: "Both ANT+ and Bluetooth Smart capabilities allow for a wireless connection to both smartphones and GPS devices at the same time or separately." Unfortunately, that statement is only True-ish.
I am using this product to connect to an ANT+ enabled watch and my Smartphone (BLE). In the first twenty days of owning the TICKR, I have seen the TICKR dropout ( Stay at the same Heart Rate for minutes at a time) on 3 separate occasions. For me, it is a non-starter, when trying to train for specific goals by staying within specific heart rate zones and you don't/can't trust what you see. If the TICKR R or TICKR X are immune to these issues, I'd like to know/be willing to try them. This Functionality was the entire reason I purchased this HRM!
As far as the single band functionality goes, both ANT+ and BLE modes, BY THEM SELVES, seem to operate just fine.
Would recommend/give 5 stars if this product worked as advertised.

Works the first time

Bought this because the blue tooth watches are hit and miss when trying to sync with riding fitness apps. Put it on and my ant dongle recognized it immediately and I started riding. No fuss no muss.
