Works great once you get it setup

I was really looking forward to getting my TICKR Heart Rate Monitor and I have been pretty pleased with it so far. I use it for cycling and it appears to be accurate in its tracking during my rides, which is convenient.
My only big complaint with the device is the included instructions are poor - when they say to lick the contacts they mean the black strips on the actual band and not the small dots on the unit. Along with this it can be sometimes hard to pick up a Bluetooth signal with the Wahoo Fitness app, but it doesn't appear to have ever dropped/stop recording mid ride which is an improvement over my Wahoo Blue SC.

It works!

I used to have the Tickr X which I found was not very usable. I then switched to the basic model and without all the bells and whistles it does exactly what it says on the box. It measures my HR and works well connected through my phone whether it is the Wahoo app or another exercise one.

A Great Across-the-Board Solution
on December 2, 2017

I'd been using the Wahoo speed and cadence sensors with Wahoo Fitness and my Lezyne Super GPS bike computer, while relying on a wrist-worn fitness tracker for heart rate. When I noticed that the tracker was giving inaccurate results, I decided to go with.a chest strap HRM, and the basic TICKR was priced right and matched the other other sensors I was using. Haven't regretted it for a moment. It's easier to use and has way more connectivity and compatibility than the ANT+ strap I used to have, and is comfortable enough that I sometimes forget I'm wearing it. Easy integration with my existing system — pretty much plug-and-play, accurate results, and a great bargain. How much more could you ask?

Sending unit works great--Chest Strap does not
on May 3, 2017

I have used this for almost 2 months and the sending nit and software to I-phone is great.
The chest strap unsnaps with the slightest movement. I frequently have to stop to re-connect it. I see many others are also having the same issue. Why is a better design not came out for it?

Measures accurately but don't use it
on September 8, 2016

Pros:
-It connected very, very easily to iphone and worked with my apps.
-I seems to be accurate, and always provides a reading, no staring and waiting for my HR.
Cons:
-Deal Breaker - The strap system is horrible. Every time I touched it, it would un-snap. I like it snug so it doesn't slide when I'm running so putting it on requires assistance from my wife to hold the strap, snap it in, and hope that it doesn't unsnap while snapping the other side. So horrible, I stopped using it, too much of a hassle.
-The app is very rudimentary, boring and basic. As a HR app, the HR should be to biggest thing on the screen, not a little tiny label. And the HR % should be the next biggest thing. I would expect the app to be like those cool screens they show at gyms with your percentage being big giant numbers and colors for how hard you are working.
