A comfortable durable dual transmisdionnsensor

Great to have a HRM that can link both with my Garmin when riding outside or by Bluetooth when training indoor using an app. Batttery life is pretty good, the strap is comfortable and the elastic has not perished much after a year of use. The button press stud system that attaches the transmitter to the strap is a little more delicate and fragile and needs care when disconnecting the strap.

Tickr HRM & Service

The HRM is a single strap worn about the torso just under the pecs. I have found it to be a very reliable tool for my training and recovery. Wahoo has amazing service everything always arrives on time.

Does not stay connected!

I recently bought my second Tickr after my first one stopped working after a few months. My second one is even worse! Whilst it connects to Bluetooth fine it only picks up my heart rate for a few seconds before shutting off. I then have to unattached and reattach it before it then starts to display heart rate again... for another few seconds. Very frustrating. I've just about given up on it.

Replacement for failed Garmin HR monitor pod. FITS the Garmin soft straps perfectly. Reliable for first 20 hours of riding without false readings. Iincluded soft strap is comfortable too. Less expensive than another Garmin pod. Durability will take more time to evaluate.

Easy to use and comfortable

So far, I love the TICKR. I found that it doesn't work in AIRPLANE mode on my iPhone, which I use to conserve data use, but if you tun on Bluetooth after airplane is shut off, it functions perfectly. My only want for this is a switch to shut off the transmitter. Unless you turn off Bluetooth on a phone or other device, it stays connected and uses battery for no reason. It's easy to forget and leave it on.

Big Fan of the Product - Need a Path to Recycle

I am on my 4th unit now. I use them daily in the gym and (primarily) in the ocean on my OC-1 and Surf Ski. They take a beating; they are paired with my Garmin watch. They work great for about 6 months and then fail. Could be the salt water but replacing batteries does not help. Could also be the strap (which will de-laminate) but the net is I accumulate dead units. Seems a shame to waste them ... not really interested in re-funds or exchanges because 6 months of very heavy use in harsh environmental conditions seems fair for the price. I would like to return them for re-manufacture but maybe that's not worth the effort either. Just seems a waste, that is all. Love the product ... reliable and accurate; worth the money for sure and a definite upgrade from the unit that comes with Garmin.
