Sexy but not smooth

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For the most part, I love it. However, there are significant challenges I have with it. The adjustability of the shelves inside is very limited. The pre-molded side supports provide only a few options of shelf placement. A standard/bracket system with more vertical options much better. The drawer glides do not glide, they stick and drag. Worse when loaded. This feels cheap right out of the gate. Maybe WD-40? Even the butter door sticks. The ice dispenser is quite slow and loud. Seems like I need to call ahead for ice. The touch-screen interface isn't very intuitive and may be more complex than necessary. Freezer storage shelf adjustment is equally limited. We're finding it difficult to access the font feet to level the full unit and get door alignment. Also (and this is a biggie) the doors do not open wide enough to remove the shelves or drawers. !! Nope, there's no obstruction keeping the doors from opening. Just itself. These attributes should not be such an issue at this price point. Very frustrating. But the black finish sure is sexy and the handle grips feel good and solid in-hand. The door seal is satisfying and it does a good job at cooling food. Would be nice to have a color temp option with the internal LED lights. Nobody, I mean NObody, needs cold, blue light over 4000k. It makes everything look ugly and dead - and fries your eyes. Consider some nuances for this beautiful machine. Customers care.

Love the side by side.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far it is working great. I love the side by side! Had the freezer on the bottom. I did not like the disorganization of the freezer on the bottom. I like opening the freezer door and being able to see everything.

Poor design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Came with a new house. It really must be a builders grade. For 22.6 it really doesn’t hold much especially the freezer. The drawers work rough and jam.i am surprised Kitchen Aid designed it.In fairness it probably would be good for a single person who doesn’t keep a lot of food on hand. It works really good at cooling and makes lots of ice really fast.

Quality could be better.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Typical refrigerator, nothing special. Works as it should. Ice dispenser very noisy when dispensing. Drawers should have better slides. They often bind up. Freezer and refrigerator doors should come with another shelf. Seems like you are skimping on shelves.

Northern Virginia Fridge Breakdown

My KRSC703HPS01 continues to have ice build up in the refrigerator section. Evap fan was replaced but this did not solve the problem. Looks as if alot of people are having the same issue with lack of defrost on this unit without any easy fixes. We have been super loyal Whirlpool made in USA customers for years but the wife now demands that we switch to Samsung or LG which I think is inevitable. Bummed that I have no choice but to use my daughter's hair dryer every 10 days to keep the food from going bad. Help.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

No problems
