[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good product. Had a similar product that was replaced with this new one. Shelves are lower quality than expected. Not as substantial. Ice maker is lower quality. The previous one had a laser level sensor and made better cubes.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Design flaw, do not buy!

Reporting the same design flaw everyone else is having. The wiring harness that attaches to the freezer door splits after repeated use (ours 3 years old) and the wires break, causing the ice maker to stop working. Only fix is to replace the entire door which costs more than the unit. Shame on Kithenaid/whirlpool for this design and not providing new doors as part of a recall program. Go elsewhere for your appliances, this line of kitchenaid appliances (our dishwasher also failed) is cheaply made crap!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Faulty icemaker, never worked, 2nd tech coming Mon

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Would have gotten more stars but Not too happy, thought we were going to a better product so we bought an oven, microwave, dishwasher and this fridge but ever since the delivery in Dec of 2024 our ice maker has not worked correctly. We are happy with the look and features of our appliances. But there is a big issue. Ice maker makes the ice but dispenser is loud and just churns and does not release ice (Cubed or crushed) well it does about 5 minutes later onto the kitchen floor. We had a Diamond repair tech come from kitchenAid he used a large metal pick to pry off our control panel on the front of our stainless steel door. My husband supplied him with tape to mask off in case of scratches. He worked on it, nice fellow. But when I returned home to try the appliance the same problem existed. and now our control panel sticks out just a bit on one side. Having another repair man out again in a few days. Very disappointed, my old fridge that we replaced is working well in our garage. Wish I could get a hold of someone from Kitchenaid instead of spending an hour on the phone to be told all the can do is send a tech (for the second time) Never received paper work from first repair.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great looking unit!

RECALL THIS FRIDGE

If there were zero stars...this fridge SHOULD BE A RECALL. The wires in door by hinge break and the only way to fix is a new door. BUT all write-ups say that it is a design flaw and it will break again. There is a site now trying to get enough names for class action suit. Disgraceful!!!!
